⌚🏃‍♀️I was happy to represent team PETA this October with a win for the Atlantic City 10k. As my first competitive 10k, I was excited to see what my time would be, and I came in as the first female with a time of 36:05. But, I think I still can do better. And to end the abuse involved in horse racing, I'll have to do better!

On November 24th, I'll be doing the Norfolk Harbor 10K with other PETA Pack runners to support me. As a team, we'll run together for many different animal causes.  

🐴My PETA Pack fundraiser is for horses, and to end the abuse involved in the horse racing industry. 

Horses used for racing are given painkillers and drugs because they are constantly being pushed beyond their natural limits. If it looks like these horses are running for their lives, it's because they are. Horses who can no longer race are treated like something to be disposed of. 

And also, it's not like horses signed up for any of this. I choose to race, but horses used for sport have their whole lives controlled by humans.

I dedicate this 10k to horses. Every step I take I hope will be another step closer to giving them the freedom they deserve.
