WHAT IS THE POLAR BEAR PLUNGE?
The Polar Bear Plunge is CCAN's annual peer-to-peer fundraising event. The funds raised power our campaigns to move our region off of planet-heating fossil fuels and toward clean energy. At the plunge, activists show their commitment to combating climate change by plunging into cold water, and as with charity walks, runs or rides, plungers recruit friends and family to sponsor their winter swim by donating to support them and CCAN. WHAT IF I CAN'T JOIN ON FEBRUARY 8TH?
That's okay! Take your Plunge before the 8th and share your photos and videos with us.

ARE DONATIONS TO THE PLUNGE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes! CCAN is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and donations to support your plunge are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by the IRS. EIN 11-3644283.

DO I NEED A PARENT/GUARDIAN TO SIGN A WAIVER IF I'M UNDER 18?
YES! Please have your parent or guardian sign this waiver and return it to [email protected] by February 6th or bring the signed copy with you to the Plunge.

HOW DO I DONATE VIA CHECK?
If you would prefer to donate via check. Please make the check out to CCAN and write the name of the plunger you are supporting on the memo line. For example, [Friend's name PBP].
