TWENTY YEARS OF PLUNGING FOR OUR CLIMATE

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) is hosting our TWENTIETH Polar Bear Plunge to “Keep Winter Cold” on February 8, 2025! Can you believe it? Over the years, our annual Plunge has been a prime example of the grassroots power of climate activists coming together to raise vital funds and awareness about climate change. Our first Polar Bear Plunge was in 2005 and we raised $5,000 with less than 25 plungers.

The goal for our 20th Polar Plunge is to raise $225,000 and have 365 climate activists plunging for our climate! I hope you enjoy taking a photographic walk through the history of our Plunge below.
